Chiropractic Care
We provide advanced spinal correction utilizing "state of the art" chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. David Waldman has years of training and experience in spinal adjustment.
Activator Methods
Evolved from 35 years of empirical study and 15 years of clinical research, the Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique (AMCT) uses the latest advances in orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examinations to seek joint dysfunction in the spinal column and extremities for improved patient care. AMCT uses the Activator Adjusting Instrument to give consistent low-force, high-speed chiropractic adjustments.
The Activator instrument provides a low force precise method for manipulation of the spine and extremities. This technique puts you at ease if you have any apprehension about receiving chiropractic care. The Activator instrument is proven to be effective for people of all ages including everyone from infants to senior citizens.
Applied Kinesiology
Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a system that evaluates structural, chemical and mental aspects of health using manual muscle testing combined with other standard methods of diagnosis. AK, a non-invasive system of evaluating body function that is unique in the healing arts, has become a dynamic movement in health care in its relatively short existence.
The combined terms “applied” and “kinesiology” describes the basis of this system, which is the use of manual muscle testing to evaluate body function through the dynamics of the musculoskeletal system.
Treatments may involve specific joint manipulation or mobilization, various myofascial therapies, cranial techniques, meridian and acupuncture skills, clinical nutrition, dietary management, counseling skills, evaluating environmental irritants and various reflex procedures.

Clinical Nutrition
In our practice we use nutrition to help balance your bodies inter-woven systems. We assess the following: digestion, liver, gall bladder, endocrine (hormonal) systems, sugar handling, cardio-vascular, immune, urological, musculoskeletal and neurologic system.
Well over 85% of all illness and disease is due to stress. This is rather simplistic but true! Stress comes in a wide variety of flavors much like ice cream. The body however doesn’t differentiate one type from another and it inevitably comes down to the total load of stress and the body’s ability to cope and keep up.
We utilize a culmination of testing procedures that help us analyze your body’s exposure and ability to cope with stresses of all types including: environmental, physical, and psychological. These are the 3 classes of stress that take their toll on us in today’s world.
Custom Foot Orthotics
Approximately 80% of all adults have some form of foot problem, conditions which can vary from bunions to heel spurs.
The most common foot problem usually doesn’t cause foot pain. It’s called excessive pronation (fallen arches), and it develops due to the aging process, changes in weight (e.g., pregnancy and obesity), active lifestyles on unforgiving surfaces, etc. It’s important for healthcare providers to identify excessive pronation since this condition contributes to ligament injuries in the knees, lower back pain, hip dysfunction, functional scoliosis, and even as far reaching areas as the jaw.
Another key foot problem, though more rare, is excessive supination. It causes a tightness in the foot joints and muscles that affects the foot’s shock-absorbing abilities. The long-term effects of supination can be quite debilitating, including degenerative arthritis and even stress fractures.
Studies show that custom-made orthotics reduce pronation and improve structural alignment and dynamic function of the entire body. Ask the Doctor for more information on how these special orthotics can stabilize your feet and balance your body.
Signs & Symptoms that you may benefit from custom orthotics:
-
My pain is worse when I stand, walk, or run.
- My feet hurt or swell at the end of the day.
- I have bunions.
- I have difficulties with my balance.
- I stand on hard surfaces throughout the day, like concrete, gravel & cement.
- I run outside on the pavement on a regular basis.
Corrective Exercises
We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises designed just for them to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction by as much as 30-40%. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.

Lifestyle Advice
We often find it helpful to "coach" our patients on certain activities they should avoid or do differently to avoid aggravating their particular health challenge. Our goal is to help every patient achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle full of the activities they enjoy most. We recognize that each our patient is a whole person, and help them reach true health and wellness is a collaborate effort between our professionals and our patients.
